What N2K Simulator Does
Simulate and stream key marine PGNs over UDP (Actisense ASCII or YDWG RAW), or replay real voyages from .vkx, .vtk, .vcc, and .gpx files.
Replay & Export

N2K Simulator turns your iPhone/iPad into a practical NMEA 2000 data lab for development, bench testing, and troubleshooting.
- Simulate and stream key marine PGNs over UDP (Actisense ASCII or YDWG RAW), or replay real voyages from .vkx, .vtk, .vcc, and .gpx files.
- Visualize movement on a live chart with track history, monitor instrument data in customizable tiles, and control replay with scrub, speed (1x-8x), skip-to-motion, pause, and rewind tools.
- You can also record incoming network traffic, save/export sessions (.vkx, .vtk, .gpx), and inspect live logs for deeper diagnostics.
- The Devices view helps you understand what is happening on the bus: discover devices via address claims, decode product information, label/mute sources, and detect signal conflicts (duplicate or mismatched data across sources).
- Use N2K Simulator to validate integrations faster, reproduce edge cases reliably, and troubleshoot marine networks with confidence, whether you’re a developer, installer, or advanced boater.
- The simulator needs to be connected to a WiFi network and an NMEA 2000 wireless gateway must be accepting a data stream with Actisense N2K ASCII format.or YD-WG RAW.

Any configuration values and simulation settings are stored locally on your device as app preferences. Network output is only sent to the destination endpoint you configure in the app.
